Operator, acceptance and eligibility
The Money Workbench is an independently operated website.
By accessing the site, creating an account or using a calculator, you agree to these terms and the policies linked below. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
The service is intended for adults age 18 or older who can enter into a binding agreement. It is designed for general use in the United States and may not be appropriate in another country or jurisdiction.
Educational information, not professional advice
The site provides calculators, guides, examples and organizational tools for general education and self-directed planning. It is not a bank, lender, broker-dealer, investment adviser, tax preparer, insurer, credit reporting agency, accounting firm or law firm.
Nothing on the site is personalized financial, investment, tax, legal, accounting, insurance or credit advice. The site does not approve credit, determine eligibility, guarantee a return or recommend that you buy, sell or hold a security, financial product or service.
Estimates, errors and changing information
Results depend on the values and assumptions you enter. Rates, taxes, fees, inflation, market returns, benefits, laws and local rules may differ from the model, may be incomplete and may change after publication.
Calculators, articles, source links and other material may contain mistakes, omissions, delays, rounding differences or outdated information. Testing and editorial review reduce risk but do not guarantee accuracy, completeness, timeliness or fitness for your circumstances.
The operator has no obligation to update a particular page, model, source or result on any schedule. Do not rely on the site as a lender quote, tax return, account statement, appraisal, benefit determination, legal document or promise of future performance.
Your decisions and responsibility
You are responsible for checking your inputs, assumptions, official documents and current rules, and for deciding whether or how to act. Consider qualified professional advice before making a significant financial, tax, legal, investment, insurance, borrowing or retirement decision.
You assume the risks of using or relying on estimates, including the risk that actual payments, taxes, returns, costs, eligibility or outcomes differ materially from a result.
Accounts and saved data
You are responsible for protecting your email account, authentication methods, device and exported files. Provide accurate account information, do not share credentials and notify the site if you believe an account is being misused.
Local browser storage can be cleared or lost. Cloud synchronization, when available, is a convenience and is not a guaranteed backup service. Keep your own export of information you need to retain.
The operator may impose or change storage, usage, account or feature limits and may suspend or remove inactive, abusive, unlawful or insecure accounts, subject to applicable law.
Limited permission to use the site
The operator gives you a limited, revocable, nonexclusive, nontransferable permission to use the site for lawful personal or internal informational purposes. The site, including its design, text, original explanations, software, formulas as expressed in the software, graphics and branding, is protected by intellectual-property laws.
Except where law permits otherwise, you may not copy or republish substantial content, sell access, remove notices, create a misleading derivative, reverse engineer protected portions, or use site content or outputs to suggest sponsorship, certification or official approval.
Acceptable use
- Do not bypass security, rate limits, access controls or account boundaries.
- Do not introduce malware, probe for vulnerabilities without written authorization, scrape at a disruptive rate or interfere with availability.
- Do not violate law, impersonate another person or submit another person's confidential information without authority.
- Do not use the service to make automated eligibility, credit, employment, housing, insurance or other high-impact decisions about another person.
- Do not present estimates as an official quote, certified analysis or guaranteed result.
Advertising, sponsorships and affiliate relationships
The operator may introduce, remove, replace, test, resize, relocate or otherwise change advertising, sponsored material, affiliate links, referral arrangements, paid placements and other forms of monetization at any time, on any eligible page and in any lawful format.
Commercial arrangements do not create a professional relationship with you. Payment from an advertiser or partner does not guarantee that a product is suitable, available or accurately described. Material commercial relationships will be disclosed where required, and paid content will not be presented in a way that is intended to mislead users into believing it is independent editorial content.
Third-party services and links
The site may use or link to government agencies, hosting, authentication, analytics, messaging, advertising, financial-service providers and other third parties. Their products, content, availability, security and privacy practices are governed by their own terms. A link, ad or integration does not imply endorsement unless the site expressly says so.
The operator is not responsible for third-party content, offers, decisions, acts or omissions. Review the provider's terms and current official documents before relying on an external service.
Changes to the service
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator may add, remove, revise, correct, reorder, test, restrict, suspend or discontinue any content, formula, assumption, tool, account feature, design, access method, provider, advertising arrangement or other part of the service at any time, with or without notice.
The operator does not promise that any feature, content item, saved-data format, provider or level of access will remain available, compatible or unchanged.
Feedback
If you send a suggestion, correction or other feedback, you give the operator a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free right to use, adapt and incorporate it without restriction or compensation. This does not transfer ownership of personal information contained in a privacy request.
Disclaimer of warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. The operator disclaims all express, implied and statutory warranties, including accuracy, completeness, timeliness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, noninfringement, security and uninterrupted or error-free operation.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so some exclusions may not apply to you.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the operator and its service providers, licensors and representatives will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, savings, revenue, data, goodwill, opportunity or business, arising from or related to the site, third-party services or decisions based on site estimates.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid directly to the operator for the service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim or US $100.
These limits do not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including where applicable liability for fraud, willful misconduct or gross negligence.
Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify and hold the operator harmless from third-party claims, losses and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful use of the service, violation of these terms, infringement of another person's rights or unauthorized submission of another person's information.
Suspension and termination
You may stop using the service at any time and may delete supported account data through the available controls. The operator may restrict or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect the service or another person, respond to legal requirements, investigate misuse or discontinue the service.
Sections that by their nature should continue after termination, including intellectual-property, disclaimer, liability, indemnity and dispute provisions, will survive.
Disputes and applicable rights
Before filing a formal claim, please use the contact page and allow 30 days for a good-faith attempt to resolve the issue.
These terms and any dispute arising out of or relating to the site are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Subject to any mandatory law or non-waivable consumer right, the courts of competent jurisdiction in Israel have exclusive jurisdiction. Nothing in these terms limits any right, remedy or venue that cannot lawfully be waived.
Changes to these terms
The operator may revise these terms to reflect changes in the service, business model, providers or law. The current version and update date will appear here. Changes apply prospectively when posted unless a later date is stated. Where law requires additional notice or consent, the operator will provide it.
If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These terms, together with the privacy policy and disclosures, form the agreement governing use of the site.
